With quad-core, Nvidia 8800, and a faster FSB, I am finally able to play games "The Way They are Meant to be Played". All of the games I have tested have run noticeably better, except for that bug with Garry's Mod... anyway, when Gmod does work, I am able to "clean up" hundreds of barrels at once (includes many props exploding and pieces [on fire] flying everyware) without losing too many frames, can run Unreal Tournament 2004 (full settings) at ~240 fps, and play Crysis at much higher specs than before (see pictures). So far I am satisfied with the performance, and possibly in the future I will OC the CPU, but it is not needed now.
On the subject of Crysis, what is with the settings in that game? You always hear in benchmarking reviews in magazines (like PC Gamer) that "we did these benchmarks with FSAA on 2x, motion blur off, and DOF on" or whatever they used. My point is, where do you turn on and off DOF and motion blur? I have triple checked that there are no "second page" buttons on the advanced system options menu... =/ anyway, if anyone figures out or knows how to do this, please tell me (just leave a comment on this post) I will thank you... lol... not much else I can do.One more thing about Crysis... Laugh at me if you will, I can't seem to find a place to get the latest update. Most of the servers I try to join in MP tell me that my client is old. So if you tell me the coffee is bad, tell me how to fix it, why don't you...? I looked all over the Crysis Offical Site, looked in the game files, and the only place I can find anything about updating is Fileplanet, which has the 1.1 patch that I think I already have. (the V# mismatch is in the final four-digit number it shows on the main menu) .... sigh... EA really seems to slack off sometimes.

OK, I have found it. On some Crymod site you can download the patches... and with the v1.1 patch of Crysis you can go into the system>Advanced Graphics options menu and they have added in options for Motion blur and DoF. It also arose more questions from my mind by adding in a mysterious slider underneath the motion blur option. Does this have something to do with motion blur? Is it something completely different? I have no idea.
